Custom Partial Dentures

Choosing the Right Partial Denture Christchurch

Partial dentures replace missing teeth and are designed to fit comfortably alongside your natural teeth. They can help improve speech, chewing, and appearance.

When a tooth is lost, nearby teeth can begin to move or over-erupt. This may lead to bite problems or discomfort. A well-fitted partial denture helps maintain proper alignment and supports long-term oral health.

Please note: We require an oral health certificate from your dentist confirming your remaining teeth are suitable to support a partial denture before we can begin.

Choosing the right partial denture depends on your mouth, the space available, and the number of teeth missing. We offer free, no-obligation consultations so you can feel confident you are choosing the option that suits you best.

Our Partial Denture Options

3D Laser Sintered Metal Partial Dentures

We specialise in metal partial dentures with over 48 years of experience. Metal partials are stronger, more secure and precise, and usually less bulky than other types, making them comfortable and long-lasting.

At our clinic, we scan models and design your partial using advanced digital software. The design is then sent to Wellington, New Zealand, where it is printed using modern 3D printing technology.

Acrylic (Plastic) Partial Dentures

Acrylic partial dentures are often a more affordable option. They can usually be made quickly, are easier to repair if damaged, and additional teeth can be added easily later on if needed. For extra stability, small metal clasps may be included to help hold the denture securely in place.

Flexible Partial Dentures (Valplast)

Flexible partial dentures can be a good option when replacing one or two missing teeth. They contain no metal components and are lightweight, thin, and comfortable to wear.

Because of the flexible material they are made from, Valplast dentures cannot usually be repaired if broken or added to if another tooth is lost.
